Oh how I wish The Falling Stars Hotel was a real place! I would absolutely book a stay there!

If you are looking for a cozy and delightful romance, I highly recommend Twice Shy. I LOVED You Deserve Each Other, easily one of my favorite romances from last year, and I’m so happy to say Twice Shy absolutely lived up to my expectations. It’s so different from YDEO, but in the best ways.

Twice Shy is a soft, curl up and hug, hit you right in the heart with high levels of swoon kind of book. YDEO also brought the swoon, but in a more romantic comedy kind of way. Twice Shy has some of my favorite tropes: sunshine and grump and forced proximity. And with a soft cinnamon roll hero?! Yes please 🥰

I adored everything about this romance! Maybell inherits her great-aunt’s estate, not realizing she has to share it with Wesley, the cranky groundskeeper. They each have a very different ideas of what to do with the property,

I think my favorite part of this story was the discussion of anxiety. This story is perfect if you’re looking for anxiety/social anxiety representation. Maybell and Wesley each experience anxiety in different ways, and watching how they help each other cope hit me right in the feels. Maybell and Wesley were perfect together, I had heart eyes for them in so many scenes (steam loving friends, please note this is closed door! But the sexual tension 🥵)

I love love loved Twice Shy and highly recommend it! Sarah Hogle is hands down an auto buy author for me. Please read this and swoon with me about this sunshine and grump perfection! 💜 Kellisa

CW: catfishing, grief, anxiety, social anxiety, parental abandonment, hoarding
