Review: Bewitching
Hey everybody! As I suspect many of you have been doing, I have been spending my down time diving into stories that “take me away”. I need to be far far away where my anxiety won’t follow.
Bewitching was definitely one that took me there!
Joyous MacQuarri is not the luckiest of ladies, in fact hardly anything she tries seem to go right. So when she lands in the arms of the dashingly handsome (and ever so serious) Duke of Belmore with a marriage proposal thrust upon her, it seemed she might have finally found her happy ending! Except there is one problem.:.Joy is a witch! ✨
Alec is a no nonsense Duke. Reputation and order is EVERYTHING to him. So after being jilted by his fiancé, he knows he needs to find a bride before gossip spreads among the ton. As luck would have it, Joyous appears, seemingly out of thin air! 😆 After learning she actually comes a decent family background, Alec quickly proposes to the mysteriously beautiful Scottish stranger, ignoring her warnings of her being a witch. A witch? What nonsense! No such thing! At least, those were Alec’s thoughts until Joy had him levitating 12 feet in the air!
This book was a beautiful combination of Regency romance and magical fantasy! You know I LOVE my witchy books, and this was such a delightful and funny one!
If i had one complaint, it felt a bit drawn out, particularly in the last third. I felt some events were mostly filler and the book could have been shortened a bit. But in the end, I was left feeling happy! And that’s what I was looking for!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 solid stars for me!
